Water Blow Location

However, if you stay outside the Nusa Dua area such as Kuta, Jimbaran, Sanur, or others outside the ITDC Nusa Dua area, to visit Water Blow you have to hire a car, hire a self-drive car or hire a car with a driver.
Entering the ITDC Nusa Dua area which has the characteristic of Candi Bentar, a typical Balinese gate. There is a large parking area available for visiting Nusa Dua Beach and Water Blow. Parking tickets will be charged for all vehicles entering this area. Parking tickets are obtained at the parking machine by pressing the button.. Parking fees for cars, motorbikes, buses, and others are calculated per hour.

After passing through the entrance and walking for approximately 5 minutes, visitors will be greeted by a beautiful beach, which is flanked by two islands connected to the mainland or what is usually called a peninsula. This beach has small waves because it is flanked by two small islands, so it is very suitable for children to play there. That’s the reason why this beach is a favorite beach for families in the Nusa Dua area. Moreover, this beach often recedes. When it’s low tide, we can walk to the middle, looking for fish, crabs, shrimp, and other sea animals. If you want to walk to the middle, it’s best to wear footwear, apart from the sharp coral, you can also often find sea urchins at low tide. From this beach, we can also walk to the hotel beaches in the vicinity.

Before we enter the gate to Water Blow, we will pass through the Garden of Hope area, Peninsula Island. This area is a tourist attraction that is no less famous.

Garden of Hope itself is a beautiful and orderly garden area. The plants are given the name of the tree and the name of the delegate from the country who planted it. In the middle of the park, there are statue and a stone monument inscribed with the names of the countries that participated in planting trees during the WTO meeting in October 1993.
In this area, there is a track for jogging and cycling, a gazebo for sitting, a helipad, and other facilities. This park, which covers an area of approximately 7.4 hectares, is often used as a venue for activities such as music, cultural performances, and others. Most visitors are foreign tourists who stay at resorts located around the Garden of Hope.

In this tourist area, there are instructions and advice for visitors including the prohibition of littering, they must participate in keeping this place clean and holy because there are several temples located around this place. Warning and advisory boards are also at the Water Blow entrance. This must be considered to maintain visitor safety.
Different from the surrounding beaches, such as Mengiat Beach, Geger Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach which have white sandy beaches, Water Blow is a beach area at the eastern tip of the Peninsula which is filled with rocks and cliffs.

Why is it called Water Blow?

The path leading to Water Blow is neatly arranged, there is a gazebo for shade and a trellis to keep visitors safe from falling onto sharp rocks. Visiting Water Blow must comply with existing cautions such as:

Nusa Penida Island to the east is also visible from Water Blow.

The coastal breeze will be felt and will get louder during the day. From August to November the wind is usually stronger than in other months which makes the waves crash high. These waves crash against the cliffs and rocks on the shoreline. These waves crash into the crevices of the rocks and soar high. The crashing waves and foamy waves are a long-awaited attraction. The attraction of crashing against rocks and soaring high is what gives this place the name Water Blow.

Best time to visit Water Blow?

Water Blow can be visited every day and it is not recommended to visit at night. Visiting in the morning can enjoy the sunrise, while visiting in the afternoon you can enjoy the exciting waves. While visiting in the afternoon, you can enjoy the sunset. Visiting during the day will of course be hot because the weather in the southern Bali area is quite hot.

Should you bring a change of clothes?

Visiting Water Blow and enjoying the crashing waves and foam is very exciting but quite dangerous. Be careful with luggage such as cellphones, cameras, and others that can be exposed to seawater. Of course, your clothes can get wet. Changing clothes is highly recommended if you want to play in the rainy waves. However, most visitors prefer to sit back and enjoy the view. Take photos from a safe distance so they don’t get wet. For safety reasons, pay attention to the existing safety instructions and guidelines. Don’t get too close to the cliff and be careful where you step because the rocks here are very sharp and pointy. If you fall it can of course injure your skin.

Photographers and content creators often capture the crashing waves at Water Blow. This place is also one of the favorite places for pre-wedding photo shoots. To be able to take pre-wedding photo shots at Water Blow, you must obtain permission from ITDC Bali, the authority that manages the Nusa Dua Resort tourist area. Of course, there are fees that must be paid. In 2005, we often did pre-wedding photo shoots here without having to pay BTDC, which has now changed its name to ITDC.
