Currently, the parking fee at Ubud Monkey Forest, for motorbikes for the first hour is IDR 2000, and the excess per hour is IDR 1000. The parking fee for cars for the first 1 hour is IDR 5000, the excess per hour is IDR 2000. The parking fee for microbuses for the first 1 hour is IDR 10000, excess per hour is IDR 5000. Parking tickets for large buses for the first hour are IDR 15000, excess per hour IDR 7500.
How much is the entrance ticket of Ubud Monkey Forest per person?
The main entrance to the Ubud Monkey Forest area is on the east side not far from the parking lot. Visitors are required to buy an entrance ticket. Currently the entrance ticket price to Ubud Monkey Forest for foreigners per person for Monday – Friday is IDR 80,000, for Saturday and Sunday the price is IDR 100,000. The entrance ticket price for children aged 3 – 12 years per person is IDR 60,000 for Monday to Friday, while for weekends on Saturday and Sunday, the price is IDR 80,000 per person.

What’s interesting about Ubud Monkey Forest?
Wanara Wana Ubud is occupied by around 200 monkeys, including long-tailed monkeys, including macaques or macaca fascicularis which have a wide distribution area. Of the number mentioned above, around 23 of them are adult males, 79 are adult females and 98 are still cubs. All the monkeys in this forest consist of 3 (three) groups, which occupy certain areas and use certain places at certain times. However, almost all groups can use the forest, it’s just that if 2 groups are in the same place and at the same time, a fight will occur.
In the forest, there are several officers whose job is to monitor and supervise the monkeys and visitors. If tourists want to ask for help such as taking photos, this officer is happy to help.
In the protected forest area there are three Hindu temples which for the local community are very sacred. The biggest temple in the area of Mandala Wisata Wenara Wana Ubud is called Pura Dalem Padangtegal. This temple has typical and unique Balinese architecture, carvings decorate the temple building. You can take selfies outside the temple area, but you are not permitted to enter the temple.

After visiting Ubud Monkey Forest, you can continue your tour in the Ubud area such as Ubud King Palace and Ubud Art Market which are 2 km away on foot, following the main road from Ubud Monkey Forest to Ubud King Palace. This road is called Jalan Ubud Monkey Forest, along the road there are rows of shops selling various souvenirs, paintings, clothes, and others.
